Talita Jenman
Creative Producer, Lecturer, and Rival Sons Communications Manager in London, United Kingdom
About me: One foot in Rock'n'roll and one foot in visual art so far i've had a fun career that includes touring with Black Sabbath, lecturing at the National Gallery, managing the first Zoological Society of London Arts programme and managing publicity for Earache Records. Not to mention, running workshops at Tate, presenting on national radio and making portraits out of fruit! I'm an enthusiastic and creative professional with a passion for creative engagement, building fun communities (online and IRL) and events.
I started working in music and the arts whilst still at school: promoting gigs, producing a festival (Uxfest), starting a french hip hop club night (Soirée), making a film about graffiti and presenting a TV show about London culture for a Japanese cable channel!
I recently completed an MA Art & Visual Culture and got to deliver some of my research in talks at The Wellcome, BIAZA and The National Gallery. I'm passionate about learning and creativity. Especially working in an interdisciplinary way around art, human-animal theory and digital culture.
"I and the rest of our team owe a great debt to her high commitment to professionalism and creative work ethic. Results are what matter and she has delivered" - Jay Buchanan, Rival Sons
“Talita’s attention to detail, forward thinking and organisation has proved invaluable in the smooth running of campaigns, events and challenges. Talita is always willing to go the extra mile to make things succeed, and can always be relied upon to take responsibility. Similarly, she displays a deeper level of understanding when starting out on a project that makes for a smooth running from start to finish." - Dan Tobin, Label Manager, Earache Records
"Excellent communication from all the teachers and in particular, Talita. She was approachable, friendly, caring and enthusiastic and all this came across to both parents and children. The course was well organised and structured without being prescriptive. Thank you Talita. My son had the best week ever, thank you!" - Parent of child who took part in ZSL Children's Animal Art Week
"Talita has great tenacity and sees tasks through to their end. She is also inventive and resourceful and has been an enthusiastic gatherer of volunteers and provided much of the drive behind 9 successful young people's Summer Rock festivals in aid of charity. Talita has also become a friend over that time." - Dick Sable, Fountains Mill Young People's Centre Manager
